Shah to address inaugural session of NIA’s ‘Anti-Terror Conference-2024’
The two-day conference is being organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Ministry of Home Affairs.
The VC has constituted a committee for the preparation of a brochure, which will highlight the achievements and facilities to be provided to the foreign students by the JMI.
To attract more foreign students, the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has been taking several measures with the university’s Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Najma Akhtar being “pro-active” in this regard, a varsity official said.
The VC has constituted a committee for the preparation of a brochure, which will highlight the achievements and facilities to be provided to the foreign students by the JMI.
“A brochure with all recent achievements, history, facilities for foreign students and other required details of the university has been published and sent to various Indian diplomatic missions abroad, both in hard and soft copies, by the Office of the Director International Relations of JMI. The brochure has also been uploaded on the official website of the university,” said a JMI official.

“The Vice-Chancellor has also extended the date for submission of the application forms for admission of foreign students for the session 2019-20 ~ the date has been extended till July 1, 2019, on the recommendation of the Foreign Students Advisor Dr Lubna Siddiqui,” the official said.
The first list of selected / wait-listed foreign candidates for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses will be displayed on the JMI’s website on July 15 and the list of selected / wait-listed foreign candidates for postgraduate (PG) courses will be displayed on 22 July.
“At present, 279 foreign students from 39 countries are registered to various academic programmes of the University. Apart from this, 180 applications from foreign students and 265 applications from NRI wards under supernumerary category have also been received for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the university,” the JMI official added.
