4 nabbed for possessing rare white rhinoceros horns

The crime branch of Delhi Police have apprehended four people for possessing and dealing with horns of rare white rhinoceros usually found in African countries, valued at Rs three crore in the international market. As per the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, greater one-horned rhino is listed under Schedule I which prohibits the capturing, killing, poisoning, or trapping of wild animals.

MCD removes 1.24 lakh posters and hoardings on third day of MCC enforcement drive

In its effort to implement the directives of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in view of the coming assembly election, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Friday stated that it has removed 1.24 lakh posters, banners, hoardings, and small boards across 12 zones. Minor fire in police station building in Gokulpuri

A minor fire broke out in a room of the Gokulpuri police station in North East Delhi on Friday afternoon. However, no injuries were reported in the incident and the flames were contained well in time, the cops said.
