Leaders in previous governments nurtured mafias to make a fast buck: Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that when wrong people come to power, they get bullets fired on Ram devotees, but when a good and sensitive government is elected, the devotees of Lord Ram are valued.

While addressing a public meeting at the Christian College grounds, the Chief Minister stated, “Today, Ram devotees are easily getting darshan in Ayodhya. Earlier, governments used to create only controversies, but today there is no dispute, and every problem is solved.”

He said, “The Farrukhabad district in UP is the first district in the country to connect with the loan facility within 10 minutes through Kisan Credit Card under the Agri Stake Scheme.” He thanked the farmers wholeheartedly and expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his address, the Chief Minister said, “The land of Farrukhabad has been the place of meditation for Lord Buddha, Jain Tirthankaras, and Baba Neem Karoli.” He also assured that Sankisa Dham’s beautification work will be completed soon. Apart from this, the Dham of Baba Neem Karoli will also be beautified.

He further stated that significant progress has been made under the Namami Gange initiative, assuring that pending tasks will be accomplished before the Prayagraj Kumbh.

The Chief Minister reiterated the commitment to linking Farrukhabad with the Ganga Expressway. He emphasised the efficiency of the double-engine government, ensuring swift progress. Surveying 100 kilometres of Farrukhabad has been completed, and plans are underway to integrate the Ganga Expressway with the Bundelkhand Expressway. CM Yogi highlighted that Farrukhabad is advancing rapidly on the path of development, akin to Kanpur.

Remembering the Late BJP leader Brahmadutt Dwivedi, the Chief Minister said, “This earth belongs to sons like Dwivedi ji, whose life was dedicated to nationalism. He exposed SP’s ‘chir-haran’, and was a true nationalist. He advocated for the purification of politics,” the CM stated.

He added, “Today, we have made the law and order situation in the state so good that it is being discussed nationwide. Daughters and traders are safe in the state, farmers are prosperous, and the youth are becoming self-reliant and standing on their own feet to live independent lives.

The Chief Minister said, “This is the same UP, which was considered a BIMARU state before 2017. People considered it as the biggest obstacle to the country’s development. But, today we have made a breakthrough and become the country’s growth engine. Earlier, all the discussions about UP revolved around caste, creed, and religion. There were no discussions about farmers, youth, businessmen, women, religion, and faith.”

The CM announced that the government will soon issue a family ID card. This will allow for arrangements for housing, toilets, Ayushman cards, pensions, and rations for people left out of welfare schemes.

The Chief Minister said, “A new city in UP will be established between Kanpur and Jhansi. Besides, care has also been taken to ensure that Farrukhabad is not deprived of development and connectivity.”

He added, “Your one vote got the Ram temple built in Ayodhya, and the Ganga Express was brought to Farrukhabad. Similarly, your one vote has also been responsible for employing the youth, protecting daughters and businessmen, and shaping your future.”

The Chief Minister said that the country is in unison for ‘Phir ek baar Modi sarkar’. This should be the resolve of all Indians.
