MP govt mulling liquor ban in religious cities
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said on Monday that the BJP state government is seriously contemplating to ban the sale and consumption of liquor in all the religious cities of the state.
A group of women on Monday set a liquor shop on fire at Baraula while staging a protest demanding a ban on alcohol in Uttar Pradesh.
They also gheraoed the police station after some protesters were taken into custody.

Police later released those taken into custody.

A case has been registered, a police officer said.
