ACC approves empanelment of 11 IPS officers from state
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday approved empanelment of the highest number of 11 IPS officers of West Bengal cadre out of 71 across the country.
The annual West Bengal State Handicrafts Fair, popularly known as Paschimbaga Hastashilpa Mela, began at Eco Park in New Town near here today.
Featuring the best of handicrafts and brining to the front craftsmen from across the state, the fair organised by the Micro and Small Scale Enterprises and Textiles Department, will continue till December 10, officials said.

Products made of wood, cane, bamboo, jute, leather and terracotta would be available in the fair.

Besides, visitors would also be able to buy clothes and junk jewelleries in the fair.
