The usual trend of vote for change in Himachal Pradesh has resulted in some low profile Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates reaping big rewards in 2017 Assembly polls.
As many as 10 candidates of BJP have managed to get a lead of over 10,000 votes with party candidate, Vinod Kumar from Nachan assembly segment of Mandi district emerging out as the biggest winner.

Vinod has defeated his nearest river Lal Singh Kaushal by a record margin of 15,896 votes and he had secured 38,154 votes in the polls.
he other big winner in the poll results is Inder Singh of from Balh assembly constituency of Mandi district who defeated Congress candidate and former Excise and Taxation minister PrakashChaudhary by a margin of 12,811 votes.
BJP candidate from Baijnath in Kangra district Mulkh Raj also reaped huge rewards from the anti-incumbency wave and defeated his nearest rival KishoriLal of Congress by a margin of 12,669 votes.
Another BJP candidate who had got huge mandate from public includeSukh Ram from Paonta Sahib assembly constituency who defeated Congress candidate, Kirnesh Jung by a margin of 12,619 votes.
The other candidates who have secured a victory of 10,000 votes are Ravinder Kumar from Jaisinghpur assembly constituency, VipinParmar from Sullah segment, Jai Ram Thakur from Seraj, Mahender Singh from Dharmpur, Anil Sharma from Mandi and RajenderGarg from Ghumarwin segment.
Apart from BJP candidates, independent candidate from Jogindernagar, PrakashRana, who is a Dubai based businessman, has managed to get a lead of 10,000 votes over his rival candidate.
Rana had defeated Gulab Singh Thakur of BJP who is the father-in-law of Hamirpur MP and son of former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
Among the Congress candidates who managed to get near the lead of 10,000 votes over rival is sitting MLA Anirudh Singh who had defeated BJP candidate in Kusumpati assembly segment of Shimla district. Singh had defeated his rival by a margin of 9,397 votes.
While the lowest victory margin in the assembly result was recorded in Kinnaur segment wherein Congress candidate Jagat Singh Negi defeated his rival BJP candidate Tejwant Singh Negi by a thin margin of 120 votes.
Congress candidate and sitting MLA from Barsar, InderDuttLakhanpal faced tough fight in Barsar assembly seat and he managed to secure victory over rival BJP candidate Baldev Sharma by a margin of 439 votes.
The sitting MLA from Kasauli assembly segment in Solan district, Rajiv Saizal too faced tough fight this time as he defeated Congress candidate Vinod Kumar Sultanpuri by a margin of 442 votes.
In 2012 elections, he had emerged victorious by a margin 24 votes over Sultanpuri.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) from Renukaji in Sirmaur district also faced tought battle and he defeated BJP candidate Balbir Singh BJP by a margin of 516 votes.
ormer minister AshaKumari too had a narrow escape against BJP candidate D S Thakur in Dalhousie segment of Chamba district and managed to snatch victory by a margin of 556 votes.
Social Justice and Empowerment minister in Congress government Dhani Ram Shandil too had to face tough fight from BJP candidate, Dr Rajesh Kashyap who is also his son-in-law. But he managed to defeat him by a margin of 671 votes.
