Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would inaugurate 66 KV Mashobra sub-station on Tuesday which would provide uninterrupted power supply to surrounding areas.

A spokesperson of HP State Electricity Board (HPSEB) said the sub-station would become functional from Tuesday. “It would provide quality uninterrupted power supply to Mashobra and adjacent villages namely Baldeyan, Durgapur, Neen, Dhali, Mulkoti, Cherri, Gumma and Kufri,” he said.

He said that it’s a relief for the inhabitants of the area who had been facing low voltage and frequent power failures as the power supply of the area was being fed from sub-station at Gumma.

To feed residents’ growing demands for electricity as well as to suffice power needs of the industries set up, HPSEB has constructed 66 KV sub-station at Mashobra.

With the construction of this sub-station the power reliability shall be increased and low voltage problem shall also be eliminated, the spokesperson said. The sub-station has been built and set up at a cost of Rs 12 Crore. With this, about 70,000 people of sixty villages of nine Panchayats along with industrial consumers of the area will be benefited.
