Haryana health minister, Anil Vij, on Thursday suspended two officials for giving wrong information under Right to Information (RTI) Act.
The officials – superintendent of health department, Rohtas and assistant, Pankaj – had stated in a RTI reply that no new building of hospitals had been constructed in Haryana after 2014. The information was given in response to an application filed by a resident of Gurugram under the RTI Act.
Vij said that these officials had deliberately given such information which has maligned the image of the department. He directed to get the matter investigated from any senior IAS officer and submit the report within a month.
The minister said that the present state government had not only completed the buildings of the hospitals approved by the previous State Government but also get constructed new buildings.
