He demanded that a raid must be conducted by the concerned agency, so that it is revealed how much cash is present and his premises. AAP chief also said that the party delegation has apprised the poll panel about how the local election officials in New Delhi constituency have “completely surrendered” before the BJP, turning a blind eye, and facilitating all the wrongdoings of the saffron party and demanded the suspension of the District Election Officer (DEO) and the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO).

He expressed relief over the fact that the EC has assured appropriate and strict action against all the alleged wrong practices and said that the party has faith in the poll panel .The AAP delegation led by Kejriwal ,which met the two election commissioners also included CM Atishi, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and RS MP Sanjay SIngh.

They also put before the poll panel, what they claimed requests that have been made to delete about 5500 names from the electoral roll in the New Delhi Assembly constituency, while 13000 fresh voter registration requests had come in during a very short time duration, which they suspected as something highly unusual and full of doubts.

As per AAP chief’s claims, the number amounts to around five and a half per cent of the total votes in the assembly constituency, and this is happening within the past 22 days, and not prior to that, which he suspected is something unusual, raising doubts on the applications for the voter name deletion.

He also mentioned that when the election officials on the ground conducted the verification and screening of the cancellation applications and called the concerned applicants, they denied making any such requests before the poll panel. He said that a total of 5500 applications were there filed by 89 people, out of which 18 appeared before the concerned election officials and denied filing any such requests.

Kejriwal alleged citing the development that there is a large-scale scam going on in this regard. Informing further, he alleged that since December 15, and up to January 8, 13000 fresh requests had come in regarding new voters in the assembly seat. The former Delhi CM raised suspicion over the sudden adding up of 13000 new voters in the small assembly constituency with just 1 lakh voters in total, alleging that people are being brought in from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and their fake votes are being made.
