Vans & The North Face owner admits hackers stole 35 mn customers’ data
The company, however, did not clarify what type of personal data was hacked.
Vedanta Ltd. Jharsuguda, dedicated 5 PCR Mobiles to the district police to help maintaining law and order. The ceremony was held at Dist. Police Headquarters in the presence of Sushant Kumar Nath, IG Police – Sambalpur, Bibhuti Bhushan Patnaik, Collector, Laxmi Narayan Patel, Chairman–ZP, R Prakash, SP–Jharsuguda, Mr Abhijit Pati, CEO – Vedanta Ltd.,
Jharsuguda, and other senior members of the administration and the company. The PCR vans were flagged off by Mr Nath while Mr Pati handed over keys to Mr Prakash. Mr Prakash, Superintendent of Police Jharsuguda, said three of the vehicles would be used for town limit patrol and two for NH and state highway patrol.
Mr Pati lauded the tireless efforts of the district police towards ensuring the safety and security of the people of Jharsuguda. It may be noted that earlier Vedanta had partnered with the district administration to put in place CCTV cameras for surveillance and monitoring to ensure safety of general public.
