The BJP-led Mahayuti stormed back to power in Maharashtra with a historic landslide that saw it on course to get over 230 seats in the 288-member Assembly
Four persons, including two sisters, have been killed in two separate accidents in the district, the police said today.
Parvati (50) and Ramrati (45) died after being hit by a speeding truck on Deva-Chinhat road near Pasin Purva village last evening, they said.
The sisters, out on an evening stroll, were killed on the spot, the police said, adding that driver of the truck fled the scene soon after.

In another accident, Kailash Yadav (28) and Rajendra Yadav (26) were killed when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle on Mahadev Suratganj road last night.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, the police added.
