Death audit of road accident fatalities compulsory in Bengal
Death Audits in case of fatalities in road transport accidents (RTAs) will be compulsory in West Bengal, as per the latest order from the state Health Department.
Three persons, including two women, were killed when their car rammed into a stationary truck on the National Highway in Billhaur area here on Monday, police said.
Preeti Kapoor (69), her sister-in-law Reeta Kapoor (65), both residents of Kannauj, and driver Raj Kishore (35) died on the spot. They were returning home from Lucknow, a police official said.

“The car driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel resulting in the accident,” SSP Akhilesh Kumar said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, the SSP added.
