11 arrested for tablet scam: ADG Supratim Sarkar
A total of 11 individuals have been arrested so far in connection with the tablet scam, ADG (South Bengal) Supratim Sarkar said during a Press conference at Bhavani Bhavan, today.
Two young sisters were burnt after being strangled to death at Bahapur village of BB Nagar area in UP’s Bulandshahr district on Thursday evening.
The postmortem of the sisters has been done and their last rites were performed on Friday. The family which was preparing for a wedding is now mourning the death of its two daughters, Shelly, 22, and Shivani, 20.

The sisters were alone in their home on Thursday evening when the murderers entered the house and strangled them using the accelerator wire of the motorbike. The killers then set on fire their bodies on the beds.

The reason behind the double murder is not yet clear . The police has started an investigation and will soon work out the case, said Prashant Kumar, Addl Director General (ADG) of Meerut Zone.
Shelly and Shivani stayed at home while the family members had gone out shopping . Farmer Gajendra Singh’s son Rahul’s marriage was scheduled on 18 February and the family members were busy in wedding preparations.
When the family members returned home at around 6 pm they were shocked to find the partially burnt dead bodies of Shelly and Shivani on beds in separate rooms. The wire of the motorbike’s accelerator was wrapped around the neck of Shivani which was used to strangle her to death.
