NRLM, Panchayati Raj & Basic Education unite for anti-filariasis campaign in UP
A Mass Drug Administration (MDA) drive will kick off in Uttar Pradesh starting February 10, aiming to eradicate filariasis from the state.
Two boys of the same class were drowned in a village pond in the Chhapia area here, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Saijapul village on Monday, SHO Chhapia Lal Sahab Singh said.

The families began the search when Surendra (6) and Arvind (8) did not return from the school, he said.

After an inquiry, they found that the boys were missing from the school after the recess, he said.
Their bodies were later recovered from the pond near the school, he said.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem and a probe is on, he said.
