Congress leaders Digvijay Singh, Deepak Babaria and Mohan Prakash, state Congress chief Arun Yadav and various other leaders from Madhya Pradesh condoled the death of former MP minister, freedom fighter and senior Congress leader Rajendra Singh. They paid tributes to him at Gwalior on Tuesday.
Rajendra Singh died of cardiac arrest late on Sunday night at a hospital in Bhopal. He had gone to Bhopal from Gwalior on Sunday. “Deeply saddened at the passing away of Rajendra Singh, I have lost a family member and my personal guide. His demise has left a huge void in state politics,” former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh told reporters here during his visit. Deepak Babaria said Rajendra Singh’s demise is an “irreparable loss to the people of state”.

Arun Yadav said, “Heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Rajendra Singh Ji, former minister.” “In his passing away, Madhya Pradesh has lost an icon who was loved and admired by millions. His contribution to the progress and development of Gwalior will be long remembered,” Yadav said. Congress general secretary, Mohan Prakash also expressed grief at the demise of Singh.
Congress MP from Guna-Shivpuri constituency, Jyotiraditya Scindia, expressed his condolences over phone to Singh’s son Ashok Singh, state Congress vice-president.
