He maintained that tourist mainly from Chandigarh and other neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana rush to Shimla city as soon as there is news of any snowfall. This poses many different challenges to the Shimla district administration in terms of traffic jams, accidents, choking of Hotels accommodation, medical issues, water and power failure.
Rohan Chand Thakur sought the co-operation of the district administration so as to help in enabling the traffic regulation to Shimla and also sensitize the tourists about the issues prevalent during the tourist season in Shimla city.
