Populism’s Price
As Delhi gears up for its elections, the political discourse has once again been dominated by promises of handouts.
It was a sunny and humid Tuesday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 25.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average.
“The day ahead is likely to be partly cloudy,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 75 per cent.
Monday’s maximum and minimum temperatures were 34 degrees Celsius and 25.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
