Hate speech: BJP leader George seeks time to appear before police
George on Saturday requested the police for an extension until February 24 to appear before them for investigation in connection with the case.

Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Thursday yet again witnessed walkout by the Opposition BJP on the third day consecutively. BJP MLAs raised slogans inside and outside the house on the third day of the Budget session.
Leading the BJP MLAs, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur protested denotification of institutions opened by the previous government after April 1, 2022.

The impasse between the ruling and the opposition continued as the opposition yet again raised the issue of denotifying of the institution under rule 67 on the third day.

Earlier, BJP members protested outside the assembly carrying chains and locks expressing their angst against the closure of institutions.
Soon after the session resumed for the day in the morning, the opposition members started raising slogans before the start of the question hour.
Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania started the question amid ruckus and sloganeering.
Jai Ram Thakur expressing dissatisfaction with the reply of the Chief Minister on the issue of denotifying the institutions on Wednesday said that the reply did not carry weight and was not logical.
As the speaker did not grant them permission to speak on the issue all the 26 BJP MLAs walked out of the house.
