Cattle smuggling racket busted in Odisha, three arrested
Police in Odisha’s Malkangiri district police on Tuesday rescued 31 cattle which were being illegally transported to slaughterhouses in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
Senior journalist KJ Singh and his 92-year-old mother were found dead at their residence in Mohali, police said on Saturday.
“There was injury marks on their necks,” Mohali Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Alam Vijay Singh said.

Investigations are underway, police said.

Singh has worked with The Tribune newspaper, The Indian Express and The Time Of India.
KJ Singh’s murder is the third instance of crime against journalists in one month.
