Four-year-old re-united with family with the efforts of Delhi Police personnel
On Monday, the police personnel at the police station received a call about an abandoned minor boy at street no 26, Sangam Vihar in South Delhi.
Selected children of Delhi Police personnel will be trained in collaboration with the sports ministry so that they can compete at the Olympics level.
The children will be trained in five types of sports – athletics, shooting, badminton, football and wrestling, an official release said.
A function was held on Sunday at New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp here on the completion of a month-long trial in the first phase of the initiative, during which 178 of 569 children who participated, were selected for training.

Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik was present at the event.
In collaboration with the sports ministry, the children who have been shortlisted will be imparted training to make them grow as sports achievers, the release said.
