Mid-Air engine failure forces plane to make emergency landing, passengers safe
A mid-air engine trouble forced an emergency landing at Kolkata NSCBI Airport last night. The incident occurred around 10.30 pm on Friday.
Passengers at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here fortuitously escaped serious injury as a glass panel fell down on Monday morning, officials said.
“The incident happened near 3A-3B terminal around 11:30 a.m. No one was seriously injured,” Kolkata Airport Director Atul Dikshit said.
“We are working towards repairing the glass of the area and taking precautionary measure so that these things don’t happen in future.”

“These things happen due to temperature difference at times,” he added.
This is not the first instance of a glass panel breaking at the NSCBI airport. Last year, a private airline’s ground staff was injured in a similar incident.
