RPF man injured in attack in Odisha’s Bolangir district

A Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel was injured after he was allegedly beaten up by three masked men at Titlagarh in Odisha’s Balangir district, police said.

Inspector In-Charge of Titlagrh RPF, Sushil Pathak, was returning home after duty on Saturday when he was attacked by the miscreants in Old Malgodown area, police said.

Three masked men attacked me with sticks and iron rods without any provocation in Old Malgodown area, said Pathak.

While the exact reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, Pathak said it was suspected to have been perpetrated by people willing to carry out illegal business activities in Titlagarh railway station.

Investigations are on but no arrests have been made so far, police said.
