One person identified as Heera Lal, a resident of Pulga village near Manikaran, has been arrested, Chand added.
Sources said the revellers first resisted the attempt to turn off the music. However, they fled from the spot after they came to know that the men who are trying to close the event were part of a police team.
Heera Lal was released on bail as he had been arrested under the HP Instrument Noise Act 6, which is a bailable offence, sources said.
Police officials said further investigations in the matter are on and those involved in rave party would be brought to book soon.
It is worthwhile to mention here that lakhs of tourists, including foreigners, visit the state to enjoy the pristine beauty of nature. But for the last two decades, a shady attraction has made it to the list: Rave and full-moon parties, offering a cocktail of banned drugs, liquor, and even sex.
The forest, riversides and secluded places in and around Dharamsala and Manali are the favourite venues where revellers gather and dance throughout the night, high on drugs and liquor, sources said.
The Kullu valley especially Malana area has become increasingly popular over the years not only for its natural beauty, but also for the best quality charas, popularly termed as ‘Malana cream’.
Tourists mostly from Israel, Russia, Australia, England and France flock the hinterland to taste the intoxicant and to attend rave parties, which are also called full moon parties, especially during full moon nights of May, June and July.
