As the recent violence that hit Ramjas College created hue and cry in the Delhi University, protests refuse to die down. The Akhil Bharatoya Janata Party (ABVP) on Monday carried out ‘Tiranga march’ in the capital city.

The protest march started from Ramjas College parking to the Faculty of Arts. The ABVP members said they will be protesting against Left student groups for their alleged involvement in anti-national activities.

Ramjas College on February 22 witnessed violent clashes between members of the ABVP and the All India Students Association (AISA). The ABVP carried out the protest against an event invite to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Umar Khalid, accused in sedition case last year for an event in the college.

Professors and students of the college were injured during the clashes.

A Delhi University student whose social media campaign against ABVP went viral alleged on Sunday to have received “rape threats”.

Lady Sri Ram College student Gurmehar Kaur, a Kargil martyr’s daughter on the day of clashes, posted in Facebook: “I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP.”
