With a view to maintain law and order ahead of the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court’s verdict in a case of sexual exploitation against Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on 25 August, most educational institutions in Tricity — Panchkula, Chandigarh and Mohali will remain closed.
While Haryana government has decided that government and private educations will remain close from August 23 to 25 August, all the educational institutions of Chandigarh will remain closed on 24 and 25 August. Similar orders have been given by several schools in Mohali (SAS Nagar).
A spokesperson of Haryana government said apart from this, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan (Sonepat), Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur (Rewari), Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind and Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, all government, private, government aided and B.Ed colleges in the state, all NCC units, and all district libraries, sub divisional libraries and central library, Ambala Cantt would remain closed on August 25.
Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has also rescheduled the dates for interview or Viva-voce for the post of Shift Attendant of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL), Haryana Vidhyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVNL) against Advertisement Number 3/2016 Category No. 01.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of HSSC said that the dates have been re-scheduled due to administrative reason.
