Attacking the ruling dispensation at the Centre over a recent press note by the ED, senior AAP leader Gopal Rai on Tuesday alleged an attempt to implicate Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Rai said the ED, which he alleged is working for the BJP, is trying to create a perception against Delhi CM to arrest him and is not even waiting for the court’s decision, and repeatedly sending summons to the AAP convener. “They are doing this because their Electoral Bond corruption has surfaced before the nation,” Gopal Rai alleged.

AAP’s Delhi State convener Rai asserted that despite securing bail from the court, there is a conspiracy to detain Kejriwal.
The AAP leader suspected more summons were being orchestrated after nine summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
As apprehensions over the electoral bonds are mounting, the BJP appears poised to swiftly target Opposition leaders through the Central agencies, he alleged.
Addressing a press conference, the AAP convener pointed out that despite the fact that the hearing on the summons was adjourned by the court till April 1, the ruling dispensation at the Centre did not wait, and issued a ninth summons against him through the ED.
The ED had approached the court claiming that the summons was legal, he added.
Rai stated, “The proceedings are ongoing. The court is yet to decide if the summon is illegal or legal, but the BJP is so restless that they are continuously announcing their verdicts. The BJP is not even ready to wait for the court’s decision.”
Referring to the new summons issued to Kejriwal, Rai said they might be feeling that the earlier summons did not work.
The AAP leader alleged that on Monday, the BJP hatched a third conspiracy through a press note by the ED against Kejriwal.
“The AAP has always respected the court and we will keep respecting their directives. We have always challenged the conspiracies of the BJP and we will continue doing so, Rai added.
