In the run-up to the Delhi legislative assembly elections, farmers and the residents of all the city's 360 villages opened a front condemning the prolonged neglect of the rural population, and have decided that they will support only those who could resolve their crucial issues.
The Delhi BJP chief pointed out that after a decade of governance by the Aam Aadmi Party's government in the national capital, Rangpuri continues to be in a shambles under the jurisdiction of AAP MLAs and councilors.
According to the AAP chief, Delhi government will provide Rs 2,100 per month to every woman above 18 years of age under ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’ and offer free treatment for all senior citizens under ‘Sanjeevani Yojana.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Sunday expressed disappointment over the sorry state of civic affairs across various places in the national capital, saying that it was disturbing to see helplessness and miserable lives of lakhs of people.
“A Cyclonic circulation is likely to form over east-central and adjoining north-east Bay of Bengal around September 25. The system is likely to move west –north-westwards and reach the Odisha coast during the subsequent 48 hours”, IMD’s Regional Meteorological Centre here tweeted on Monday.

"The Transport Department, Government of NCT of Delhi, in its ongoing efforts to control pollution and improve air quality in Delhi, requests all motor vehicle owners in the city to ply their vehicles only with valid PUC certificate," said a notice issued by the Delhi Transport department on Sunday.
