In the run-up to the Delhi legislative assembly elections, farmers and the residents of all the city's 360 villages opened a front condemning the prolonged neglect of the rural population, and have decided that they will support only those who could resolve their crucial issues.
The Delhi BJP chief pointed out that after a decade of governance by the Aam Aadmi Party's government in the national capital, Rangpuri continues to be in a shambles under the jurisdiction of AAP MLAs and councilors.
According to the AAP chief, Delhi government will provide Rs 2,100 per month to every woman above 18 years of age under ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’ and offer free treatment for all senior citizens under ‘Sanjeevani Yojana.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Sunday expressed disappointment over the sorry state of civic affairs across various places in the national capital, saying that it was disturbing to see helplessness and miserable lives of lakhs of people.
The statement said earlier this year, the Delhi Cabinet had also approved a proposal for the award of contract for 160 buses and with the addition of these 190 buses.
In this way petrol would be cheaper by Rs 12 per litre whereas diesel would also be cheaper by Rs 17 per litre in the state with immediate effect,” he added.
