Noida: Two cattle smugglers held in encounter

Both of the miscreants were shot during the crossing firing and were taken to a local hospital where their condition is believed to be stable.

Two cow traffickers were arrested by the Noida Police on Wednesday morning, according to an officer.

Zeeshan and Md Esha, both of Almora, Uttar Pradesh, were named as the suspects.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Elamaran G, the encounter took place at a dumping yard in Sector 68, Noida, around 8 a.m.

“When the police was checking their vehicle, the alleged persons opened fire at the police party. After this, the cops retaliated and fired bullets at them,” the official said.

Both of the miscreants were shot during the crossing firing and were taken to a local hospital where their condition is believed to be stable.

The two alleged cow smugglers were followed by four of their colleagues, who fled the scene when they saw the police group approaching.

“Multiple raids are being conducted to nab them at earliest,” the official added.
