Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur underlined the need to learn from the lives of saints as they are the flag bearers of our religion and culture.
While participating in the Swaminarayan Mandir Vedic Mahapuja and Murti Pratisthan Function at Kufri near Shimla, the Chief Minister welcomed Swamiji to Dev Bhumi Himachal Pradesh.
He said that in present era of materialistic life we have left behind our humanity, values and our culture.
“In the end one realizes that he or she has actually lost something more precious than what actually he has achieved. He said that one should spare time for our soul and spiritual sermons,” he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Himachal Pradesh was an abode of gods and people of the state have great faith in Saints and Sages.
The sages have a significant role in bringing social harmony in the society, he said, adding that the state would be immensely benefitted from the visit of such saints.
