Himachal CM seeks Centre’s support for developing tourist destinations
Himachal Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has sought support from the Centre to develop tourist destinations in the state.
Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda praised the performance of gold medal-winning women Kabaddi Team of Himachal Pradesh (HP) at his residence in Delhi. The Kabaddi team of HP won the gold medal in the ongoing ‘Khelo India School Games’ by defeating Delhi in the finals.
Nadda felicitated the team members along with the supporting staff. While praising their feat he said that the daughters of HP have done the state proud and created history. This victory has enhanced the image of HP in sports arena at the national level.

Nadda said that the girls should further strive to win similar medals at National and International level. He further added that HP is well on its way at mainstreaming sport as a tool for individual development, community development, economic development and national development.

He said Khelo India programme has been introduced to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country and establishing India as a great sporting nation.
