Challenging four Bharatiya Janata Party, Members of Parliament in Himachal Pradesh on accountability issue, the Congress party has dared the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur that the party will also review the 100 days of BJP government.

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) Chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said on Monday that the BJP lead state government has come on a counter footing after the launch of the Congress campaign, “Hisaab de Sansad, Jawab De Sansad”.

CM himself has come out in the defence of his party’s MPs, he said, adding that Congress has still not sought accountability of the state government and has given them 100 days to perform after which they will seek accountability.

Congress will take to task the state government on their performance and effort to eradicate corruption, besides providing employment to the youth, said Sukhu.

“The BJP MPs have to give accountability of their four years as the public had elected them with high hopes and expectations. The public and the opposition parties have full right to seek accountability,” he said.

“All the promises made by the BJP in the last 2014 Lok Sabha elections have proved to be mere Jumalas, BJP has done nothing and are shying away from giving account of their performance in the last four years. The BJP state government is forced to come forward to hide the failures of their MPs,” he charged.

The state government should instead focus to work for the public interest, rather than working with political vengeance, he added.

Congress is in the opposition in the Centre as well in the state, he said, adding that the party will raise the voice of the public.

The BJP government in the Centre has also failed on all fronts and is now keeping an eye on HP, said Sukhu.
