According to the father of the deceased, his son, who used to call every day in the evening, did not call on September 11, 12. His family tried to connect with him, but his number was switched off. Suspecting a foul play, they came to Delhi. Two roommates at his paying guest (PG) centre informed them that he hadn’t returned since September 11.

This prompted his father to register a missing complaint with the Mukharjee Nagar police station.

This is not the first such case. Earlier, Anjali Gopnarayan, 26, was found hanging in her rented accommodation in Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar. In her suicide note, she highlighted her struggle with depression and appealed to the government to address the issue of scams in public recruitment and increase job opportunities for youngsters.
