Six armed miscreants looted Rs 12 lakh from two maize traders at gun point in Bihar's Katihar district on Tuesday.
Confirming the loot of Rs. 12 lakh from two traders, Semapur police outpost in-charge Ajay Pandey said the incident took place around 3 pm near Sakraili area when the two traders – Pritam Choudhary and Chiranjivi Jaiswal- were on their way back to Barari Semapur on a bike after withdrawing Rs 18.50 lakh from a nearby HDFC branch.

They told the police that they had put Rs 6.50 lakh in motorcycle's dickey while they were carrying Rs 12 lakh in a bag, the officer-in-charge said adding that six miscreants riding three motorcycles intercepted the traders near Sakraili area and looted Rs 12 lakh at gun point.
A case has been lodged in this connection and investigation is on in the matter.
