Manoj Tiwari, BJP candidate from the North-East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, inspected the work on the elevated road of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway on Thursday along with officials.
To know the progress of Delhi Dehradun Expressway being built at a cost of about Rs 5,000 crore, Tiwari inspected the construction work of elevated road with officials.
Talking to reporters after inspection, Tiwari said 90 per cent of the work on the Delhi portion of National Highway 709B has been completed and traffic on it will start in the coming June.
“After traveling on this route, one can travel from Delhi to Dehradun in 2.5 hours and from Haridwar in 2.15 hours,” the BJP MP said.
Tiwari said this elevated road will be the biggest elevated road in “our parliamentary constituency”.
He has been a Member of Parliament (MP) from the North East Delhi constituency since 2014.
