The ethnic tensions in Manipur between the Kuki-Zo tribes and the Meitei community have brought the state's governance under intense scrutiny.
A Delhi court on Thursday sent Manipur's proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party chief Khoirom Ranjit to seven-day police custody.
Ranjit, wanted in connection with various terror attacks in Manipur, was arrested along with a woman from east Delhi's Mayur Vihar area by Delhi Police's Special Cell on Thursday morning.
