Delhi police tracks 311 missing children this year

A sensational case of a man murdering his wife in Delhi and carrying the body to dispose of in Mussoorie has created shockwaves in the hill station.
The semi-decomposed body of the married woman was recovered from a ‘Khud’ at Hathipaon in Mussoorie on Friday.

Thirty five-year-old Shilpi was married to Lalit, a resident of Pritampura in New Delhi. Taking inspiration from Hindi movies the husband with two others brutally murdered the woman in Delhi on 3 December.

To cheat the police the husband filed a missing report at the Rani Bagh police station on 8 December.
According to police, the missing theory failed to convince them and when they applied force then Lalit admitted the crime. He also disclosed the names of two other associates in the murder. Mussoorie Police’s sub inspector RN Purohit said, “We have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem to Dehradun.”
A team of Delhi Police had arrived with the main accused Lalit in Mussoorie on late Thursday.
The Delhi Police team remained tight-lipped and did not interacted with the media. On Friday morning, the Delhi Police team accompanied by Mussoorie Police headed for Hathipaon.
Lalit showed the spot from where he and other accused had rolled down the body.
The body wrapped in a bed-sheet was recovered from a Khud near the Nag Mandir.
The daring act involves committing the crime in Delhi, crossing border of different states to reach Mussoorie and rolling it down in a Khud.
