Illegal arms manufacturing factory busted in Delhi, two arrested
The police recovered 16 country-made pistols, weapon-making equiptment and 41 gun barrels, a senior official said.
Police have arrested a man on charges of forcing a girl to commit suicide by sending her “obscene videos” to her fiance just before their marriage, in Lawar town here.
According to the police, the accused, Shadab, worked at the firecracker manufacturing unit of the girl’s father in Lawar. It is said that he had an affair with the girl and somehow managed to get his hands at some private videos of her.
Shadab wanted to marry the girl but she was engaged to someone else. The wedding was fixed in the first week of February. Shadab hatched a conspiracy to break her engagement and sent those obscene videos to the girl’s fiance who shared it with her in-laws to be. The girl committed suicide on the very first day of the new year by hanging herself from the ceiling fan.

SP (rural) Rajesh Kumar said that Shadab has admitted to sending video because he wanted to marry her.
He escaped to Delhi after girl’s family named him in the FIR. He was arrested from Delhi on Sunday and has been sent to jail.
BJP leaders Vineet Sharda and Sunil Bharala have described it a case of ‘love jihad’ and demanded an ex gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to the family. The incident led to a communal tension in the town.
