AIIMS-Bhubaneswar medicos save a man on verge of death
A 24-year-old man was administered Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) to resurrect him from the brink of imminent death by the medicos at the AIIMS-Bhubaneswar here.
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Devendra Kumar, a resident of Tijara in Alwar district, Rajasthan.
A man allegedly jumped onto the Metro track at Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station on Monday, just before the arrival of a train, the police said.

The police received a call regarding the incident at 6:24 PM from the security inspector at Rajiv Chowk Police Station.
The call was assigned to the concerned officer, who reached the spot.
After an initial inquiry and reviewing CCTV footage, it was found that at 5:47 PM, the man had allegedly jumped onto the Metro track at platform No. 2 of Lok Kalyan Marg station, apparently to commit suicide, just before the arrival of the train.
The Delhi Police Crime Team inspected the spot, but no suicide note was found.
The deceased’s family has been informed, the police added.
The body has been preserved in the mortuary at Dr RML Hospital, and inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC are being conducted, a police official said.
