UP govt screens 27 lakh citizens in special campaign to eradicate TB by 2025
The Uttar Pradesh government has screened more than 27 lakh citizens as part of a comprehensive campaign to eliminate tuberculosis (TB) from Uttar Pradesh by 2025.
The SP is still waiting for the Congress, who is presently busy with the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh.
Samajwadi Party on Monday announced 11 more candidates for the Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, with a surprise by fielding present BSP MP Afzal Ansari, elder brother of jailed mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, from Ghazipur.
Now the SP has announced 27 candidates so far in two lists. The first list of 16 candidates was released on January 30.

The SP has also announced its candidate for Muzaffarnagar seat, which was earlier given to the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD). Now

The SP is still waiting for the Congress, who is presently busy with the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh.
Afzal Ansari, won the 2019 Lok Sabha polls on BSP symbol from Ghazipur when SP-BSP had an electoral pact.
Recently , Afzal’s membership was scrapped after he was sentenced in a crime along with his brother Mukhtar Ansari. But the Allahabad High Court stayed the sentence and hence his Lok Sabha membership was retained.
The candidates announced by SP are Harendra Milak from Muzaffarnagar, Neeraj Maurya from Aonla, Rajesh Kashyap from Shahjahanpur, Usha Verma from Hardoi, Rampal Rajvanshi from Mishrikh RK Chaudhary from Mohanlalganj, Dr SP Singh Patel from Pratapgarh,Ramesh Gautam from Bahraich,Shreya Verma from Gonda, Afzal Ansari from Ghazipur and Virendra Singh from Chandauli.
