Man beheaded: Body found in bush, head found in train
Residents of Kankinara fear for their life after a man, who was identified as a fuchka seller, was brutally murdered.

In a bone chilling incident, a man was brutally murdered in Kankinara, in North 24 Parganas, with his body beheaded, and thrown away in a bush, while his head was found wrapped in a plastic and recovered from a train compartment. The police are yet to make any arrest in connection with the case.
Residents of Kankinara fear for their life after a man, who was identified as a fuchka seller, was brutally murdered. It was learnt that the victim, Lala Chowdhury (32), had left his home on Tuesday evening but never returned home till Wednesday morning when his beheaded body was found lying in a bush near 29 no. rail gate between the Kankinara and Jagatdal station. His head was, however, recovered later from a parked train- Down Hasnabad local- at Barasat station, wrapped in a plastic and kept inside the basket he used to carry for trade purposes. His body bore several marks of grievous injuries while his private parts were reportedly found, mutilated.
It was further learnt from police sources, going by the nature of the injuries on Lala’s body, it was deduced that the act was carried out with tremendous fury and rage. The police further informed that Lala was not just murdered but also looted. A complaint was lodged at the Bhatpara police station and also in Barrackpore GRP police station.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested Sheikh Laden in connection with the passenger agitation and stone pelting incident at Chinpai station yesterday, under the Asansol division of Eastern Railway.
