Yadav slams AAP govt over pending CAG reports
His statement came in the wake of LG VK Saxena’s letter to Chief Minister Atishi over the CAG reports. The LG has called for a special session of Delhi Assembly for laying these reports.
In a reaction to Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments against him, Kejriwal said, “Country is more important, Home Minister has called me corrupt, criticised me, but he did not answer any of the questions raised by me.”
Continuing his attack on the BJP- led union government over CAA implementation, Delhi Chief MInister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday accused the Centre of not being able to provide sufficient employment to the youth, further questioning as to from where will the government create jobs for the influx of people from the neighbouring countries.
In a reaction to Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments against him, Kejriwal said, “Country is more important, Home Minister has called me corrupt, criticised me, but he did not answer any of the questions raised by me.”

During his video address, he further said,”All the governments in our country have been unable to provide employment to our youth, then from where will they get homes and employment for people of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan?”

Earlier today, on Kejriwal’s statement yesterday that giving citizenship to refugees will increase thefts and rapes, the Union Home Minister said, “The Delhi CM has lost his calm (aapa kho baithe hain) after his corruption was exposed…He is doing vote bank politics”. Shah said he does not know that all these people have already come and were living in India. ”If he is so concerned, then why doesn’t he talk about Bangladeshi infiltrators or oppose the Rohingyas? He is doing vote bank politics… He has forgotten the background of partition and should meet the refugee families…,” he has pointed out.
Kejriwal further took a dig at the Centre saying, ration cards were falling short in Delhi. ”On one hand, the central government has not allowed to issue fresh cards, but on the other, wants to give ration cards to Pakistanis,” he added.
“Migration that will take place after implementation of CAA, will be bigger than migration that took place during Independence,” he claimed, alleging that the central government was making it legal for illegal immigrants to enter India by bringing the CAA.
Kejriwal further alleged that Rohingyas came here after formation of BJP government at Centre in 2014, further raising questions as to what could have been the reason behind them entering India, is it because of government’s failure or, did they come with the connivance of government.
He also raised doubts over women and the country’s safety and security in this connection.
He reiterated that the government must bring back those 11 lakh industrialists and businessmen who left India, claiming they will bring new factories and provide employment.
Referring to the notification of the CAA rules by the Centre on Monday, Kejriwal addressed a press conference on Wednesday to explain how the CAA was a very dangerous law for the country and it should be withdrawn.
“This morning, Home Minister Amit Shah issued a statement on the press conference I held yesterday. To answer the same, I am addressing you today. I heard the statement from the honourable Home Minister. In his entire statement he did not answer even a single question that I had raised yesterday. He has only abused me, Kejriwal is corrupt… Leave me, I am not important. The country is important, 140 crore people of the country are important and let us talk about them,” the AAP chief said.
“Today, the BJP is saying that the act will be applicable only on people who entered India before 2014, but it will eventually be extended to 2019 and then 2024, because the intruders are entering India on a regular basis,” the Delhi CM claimed.
Meanwhile, he shared a post on the ‘X’ in response to the protest by immigrants from Pakistan outside his house today and expressed, “Pakistanis are allowed to protest outside my house with full police protection and respect, and farmers of this country are not even allowed to come to Delhi? Tear gas shells, sticks, rods, and bullets on Indian farmers? And so much respect for Pakistanis?”
“The government fund is made up of our money, it is the money of 140 crore people of India, it is our tax money. We, the people of India, have paid the taxes, not the people of Pakistan or Bangladesh. You (BJP) cannot spend that hard earned money on settling the people of Pakistan and Bangladesh in India,” the AAP chief added.
