The district administration is examining Kejriwal’s letter. He had earlier wanted to come on 13 August but postponed it.
Confirming receipt of the Delhi CM’s letter, District magistrate of Saharanpur Alok Kumar Pandey said Chandrashekhar who is in jail under National Security Act ( NSA) cannot be allowed to have political visitors. But he has sought the opinion of police and other departments on the matter.
However, district president of Bheem Army, Kamal Wali, claimed that the district administration has denied permission to Kejriwal to meet Chandrashekhar.
Bheem Army is organising a ‘ Mahasankalp rally’ in Delhi on 19 August in which atrocities against dalits during the Modi government’s rule would be raised.
