Himachal Govt should withdraw Guest Teacher Policy: Jai Ram Thakur
Leader of Oppostion and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while slamming the Guest Teacher Policy, on Monday said that the state government cannot be allowed to act arbitarily.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday lauded visually impaired students of Himachal University, Shimla- Muskan (MA Music), Anuj Kumar (M.Phil Economics), Ajay Kumar (MA History) and Vinod Sharma and Jasbir Singh Lubana (MA Political Science)- for qualifying recently conducted National Eligibility Test (NET).
He also congratulated Priyanka Thakur, law student and Satish Kumar Thakur, Political Science student for qualifying NET.

The CM said that it was for the first time that five visually impaired students have qualified NET from the State.

He said that these students have once again proved that physical inability cannot be an obstacle for achieving success through hard work and commitment.
Thakur said that the state government was committed to provide all possible help to these students. He also wished the students a bright and glorious future. The CM lauded the role of Nodal Officer of specially abled students, Professor Ajay Srivastava of Himachal Pradesh University.
