More than 17,000 locals and tourists have visited Asia's largest Tulip Garden in Srinagar within hours after it was inaugurated by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

In a spine-chilling video that has gone viral, a Kashmiri youth is seen performing a life threatening stunt by lying on a rail track below a fast moving train somewhere in South Kashmir.
The undated video shot by the friend of the youth went viral on social media after former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted it with the comment; “There is something drastically wrong with this sort of adventure seeking. I can’t believe the stupidity of these young men”.

The unidentified Kashmiri youth wearing the traditional ‘pheran’ can be seen lying face down on the railway track as the speeding train passes over him. The youth is then seen letting out a loud celebratory roar as his friend shooting the video cheers him.Twitter was abuzz with reactions condemning the action of the boy.

There were calls for his arrest. “We lose our youth to violence, traffic accidents and other mishaps on daily basis. Can’t afford further loss,” a tweet said.Responding to these tweets, Omar Abdullah replied “Arresting him isn’t the solution. He should be counseled & let off with a stern warning. Our prisons are too full of young men as it is & stupidity isn’t a crime”.
The police in Anantnag on Wednesday counseled the youth. He apologised to his parents and society, police said.
