Haryana: 5 held for cheating by changing debit cards at ATMs
A Haryana Police spokesperson said the arrested accused used to station themselves outside ATM kiosks and pretended to stand in a queue to withdraw money.
Three persons have been arrested in connection with running an inter-state gang involved in ATM frauds in Pali district here, police said on friday.
Ajay Rathore (22), his brother Sachin Rathore (24) and their friend Vijendra Chouhan (42), all residents of Haridwar, robbed people by tampering with ATM machines and withdrew money from their accounts, SP Pali, Deepak Bhargav said.

They have duped people of over Rs 2 crore in the last two years in over 250 incidents, he said.

The officer said the accused used to restrict ATM machines from dispensing cash and later withdrew money from them.
They have confessed to committing the crime in various districts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, he said.
All three were produced before the court from where they were sent to 10-day police remand, SHO Raipur police station, Rajendra Singh Charan said.
