3F Oil Palm started the commercial production of its first integrated oil palm factory in Roing in Arunachal Pradesh.

Situated in Roing, lower Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh, this facility spearheads Mission Palm Oil, signaling India’s march towards self-sufficiency in edible oils, propelled by the National Mission on Edible Oils – Oil Palm (NMEO-OP).

Unveiled by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on March 9, 2024, the factory started its commercial production from Saturday.

Highlighting the prospects of Palm Oil in India, Sanjay Goenka, Managing Director & CEO, 3F Oil Palm Pvt Limited., emphasized the pivotal role of palm oil in ensuring national food security amid escalating demand for edible oils.

The launch of India’s maiden oil palm processing unit in Arunachal Pradesh aligns with the objective of boosting domestic oilseeds production, he added.

Recognizing the vast potential in Northeast, 3F Oil Palm has invested Rs 100 crores and plans further investments of Rs 1100 crores in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh by 2030, generating employment for 1,700 people.

Arunachal Pradesh, boasting 1,30,000 hectares of suitable land for Oil Palm cultivation, holds immense promise, with the Northeast region alone harboring 33% of the designated cultivation area.

3F Oil Palm’s cutting-edge Integrated Oil Palm Processing Unit boasts a capacity of 10 metric tons per hour, geared towards converting fresh fruit bunches (FFBs) into premium palm oil.

Arunachal Pradesh, boasting 1,30,000 hectares of suitable land for Oil Palm cultivation, holds immense promise, with the Northeast region alone harboring 33% of the designated cultivation area.

Despite this potential, India grapples with substantial dependence on imported edible oils, necessitating initiatives like NMEO-Oil Palm Policy, championed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to bolster domestic cultivation, especially in the Northeast.
