Organised in collaboration with the National Book Trust and the Lucknow Development Authority, the festival will run from November 9 to 17.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), DG, Mr K G Suresh said there are plans to roll out certificate courses in Urdu, Marathi journalism. Community Radio 96.9 will be launched soon, he informed.
Mr Suresh was addressing the silver jubliee function of IIMC Dhenkanal on Tuesday. Dhenkanal is planned to be model campus in Eastern India. It has played significant role and contribution in introducing Journalism (Odia) for language journalism, he said.
A Media Museum will also be set up, he added. Odisha Skill Development Authority chairman Subroto Bagchi emphasised a country does not become great by having politicians, good governance or prominent personalities.

If a country wants to earn respect on the global stage, it has to create world-class institutions and encourage research. In Japan the companies are not just concerned about increasing output, they are focusing on research and innovation and so they are marching progress in the field of science and technology.
Former union minister R K P Singh Deo inaugurated thefunction. Talking to reporters here, IIMC DG Suresh•said•IIMC is in the process of Deemed University. After it is done, plans are going ahead to introduce two yr postgraduate course in Journalism and mass communication soon.
