Illegal arms manufacturing factory busted in Delhi, two arrested
The police recovered 16 country-made pistols, weapon-making equiptment and 41 gun barrels, a senior official said.
Leakage of poisonous gas from Sir Shadi Lal Sugar Mill in Shamli on Tuesday afternoon created panic in nearby Saraswati Vidya Mandir as hundreds of its students had to be rushed to hospitals after they complained of nausea and giddiness.
However, most of the students where discharged after first-aid.

District Magistrate of Shamli Indra Vikram Singh claimed the situation was under control and efforts were on to examine and rectify the problem. He said the incident was blown out of propertion by the media.

Meanwhile, doctors have said that no child is serious and adequate medical assistance were provided to them.
The situation had turned chaotic shortly after the news of the gas leak and sickness of children of Saraswati Vidya Mandir spread like a wildfire. The worried parents and relatives of children rushed towards the school and people gathered outside hospitals to know about the wellbeing of their wards.
Police and administrative officials also reached the spot and directed the health officials to provide adequate treatment to children as per requirement. Meanwhile, the DM has instructed the pollution control officials to examine the plant from where the gas leaked.
