The hotel will come up at Nadaun in the Hamirpur district of the state.
Bali, along with officials from the Public Works Department, conducted a site inspection of the upcoming project.
The tender process for this project began under the previous government. However, ongoing investigations have prompted the decision to issue fresh tenders to ensure transparency and accountability, Bali said.
Embarking on an endeavour to enhance tourism infrastructure in the state, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has announced Rs 33.44 crore investment for the Mandi Shiv Dham project.
Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, HPTDC Chairman RS Bali announced plans for the redevelopment of HPTDC hotels, alongside the ambitious project to develop 12 Jyotirlingas in Mandi Shiv Dham.
The tender process for this project began under the previous government. However, ongoing investigations have prompted the decision to issue fresh tenders to ensure transparency and accountability, Bali said.

The initial budget allocation for developing the 12 Jyotirlingas in Mandi Shiv Dham was Rs 38 crore, with Rs 16 crore utilised by the previous administration, he said, adding that the present government is committed to the project and has allocated an additional Rs 11.62 crore, bringing the total budget to Rs 33.44 crore.
This funding will be sourced from the state budget and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Bali disclosed.
Four Jyotirlingas have already been constructed, and plans are afoot to develop the remaining eight, he said, asserting that the government remains steadfast in its mission to realise the vision of developing Mandi Shiv Dham into a revered pilgrimage site.
Concerned over previous irregularities, Bali assured that a thorough investigation is underway, and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
The Mandi Shiv Dham project, conceptualised as a key initiative during the previous BJP government, faced scrutiny and opposition from political rivals, he said.
However, with the change in government, efforts to investigate and revitalise the project have gained momentum, he added.
In addition to the Mandi Shiv Dham project, the HPTDC is initiating the redevelopment of its hotels across the state, Bali said, outlining plans to categorise and modernise these properties to meet the evolving needs of tourists.
“In the first phase, the focus will be on iconic establishments like Hotel Holiday Home and state guest house Peter Hoff in Shimla,” he said.
